Hello & Welcome!

I'm Dominey (aka Dom), a designer and photographer with a deep obsession with interiors, a love of making spaces feel cosier, and a habit of chasing (and capturing) moments in nature that leave me a little awestruck.

In a past life, I worked as a digital designer for major homeware brands in Melbourne and shot editorial lifestyle and interior photography for businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

These days, I call New Zealand's Matakana Coast home, where I spend most of my time indulging in my love for nature, crafting picnics and curating handcrafted baskets and outdoor accessories for my fellow wanderers at Love in Wild Places.

I believe our physical environments carry a kind of 'energy' that shapes how we feel, think, and behave. Lighting, decor, furniture layout, paint colours, textures, and indoor-outdoor flow, including how close we are to nature, all quietly shape the way we live and even how we see ourselves in relation to the world.

On here, I write about and share a mix of my current and past design and photography projects, wanderings around NZ and beyond, my favourite finds, and the places worth adding to your bucket list.

Stick around, have a gander,
x Dom
